Ancillary Pictures

In order to complete my ancillary task, I was to take images of my actor. Therefore on the same day of shooting the music video, i decided to take a photo shoot of my actor in different places with different poses in order to identify which one i liked best. From all the photos, i picked 6 that i thought stood out and looked cool. I then asked my focus group on their views.

These were the images i asked my focus group to choose. Before i asked them to pick their favorite images, i made them aware that they were going to be used for a digipak and magazine advertisement. These were my focus groups votes:

• Image 1: 1/13 votes = 7.6%
• Image 2: 2/13 votes = 15.38%
• Image 3: 9/13 votes = 69.23%
• Image 4: 9/13 votes = 69.23%
• Image 5: 5/13 votes = 38.46%
• Image 6: 7/13 votes = 53.84% 

From the results above, I now have a clear view on my focus groups thoughts. As shown, images 3 and 4 were the most popular and therefore i have decided to use these in my digipak and magazine advertisement. I will use image 4 for my digipak and image 3 for my magazine advertisement. Additionally, image 1 was shown to be the most unpopular image and therefore i have decided not to use this as the main reason for a digipak and magazine advertisement to work properly is to attract the audience and therefore a clear undersntading and different viewpoints from different people will help me achieve this.
